RecommendConsidered one of the foremost emo-core bands going right now, Promise Ring do everything on Very Emergency to shake that moniker. This has not much in common with the like of emo fore fathers Sunny Day Real Estate but more hooks than a Fountains of Wayne Cd. Vocalist Davey von Bohlen comes up with some great heartfelt lyrics, some ring out more than others like "your the subject of a very long book/if it came to easy it wouldn't be worth all the time that it took". If you are looking for a feel good happy album with crunchy guitars look no further as the Promise Ring promises to look after your every romantic thought.
