Pushcar - Apartment D
This eclectic act comes to us by way of California. Pushcar is basically two members, Jim Saunders and Chris Farrell who have both been in their share of almost ran bands. These two decided to focus their attention on an artsy style similar to that of The Gandharvas only a bit lighter in their delivery. Pushcar seems a bit froofy on the outside but after a second look one will realize that there are a bit more to these songs. Jim and Chris trade of vocal duties but you can hardly tell as their styles are very similar. Some tracks start out ghostly in delivery and then before you know it the melody unfolds right in front of you. Some may make a Radiohead comparison with the band but Pushcar lacks a bit in the technical area. They make up for it though with their great sense of harmonies.
