Miss Kittin is getting around. Well, around the Emperor Norton artists anyway. Fresh off of a successful album with Felix da Housecat she now lends her vocals to this brilliant Golden Boy album. Her sultry voice adds flair and sexiness to tracks that lend themselves easily to this. Stefan Altenburger (aka Golden Boy) discovered Miss Kittin Djing at a party in Glashaus and she was remixing one of his Klettermax tracks into New Order’s “Blue Monday. That is what sealed the deal. Her voice is a perfect match for Golden Boy’s syth-electro brand of pop music. She is not on every track thought. Golden Boy does fit in some instrumentals (or lack there of). At the beginning of ‘or’the “Intro track has Miss Kittin telling you what you can use the disc for, Kama Sutra training, Backyard BBQ’s, or Highway 66 drives. Among the others that she mentioned, this album would be perfect for an upbeat cocktail lounge soundtrack. The songs are quite pounding enough to make the rave scene but that doesn’t mean that this crowd wouldn’t enjoy Golden Boy. This is a very creative album pushing where electro pop goes in the future. Check out “Rippin Kittin for one of the best 80’s tracks that would have rocketed to the top of the charts back in 87.
