RecommendQuasi is a Portland based band that features Sam Coomes (Heatmiser) and Janet Weiss (Sleater Kinney). Field Studies being their fourth album is bound to reel in all the soft pop fans. Their orchestral sound is very refreshing. For the most part Field Studies is filled with dreamy vocals with the exception of a few noisier tracks. One can not help but notice the awesome drumming provided by Janet. She is on every turn providing the momentum. Sams weavy guitar playing should be heralded too. Quite similar to Built To Spill's guitars sound. Sit down, relax, and enjoy your cup of tea with quasi.
