Most would agree most popular artists out there have something truly special to give to their fans. This goes above the typical attributes like raw talent, amazing songs, nice voice, or even a very marketable look, sound & image. Theres something truly infectious at the core of these artists that simply makes us feel good when we listen to them. Whatever it is - they all seem to have it.

Today I listened to the latest CD from California singer/songwriter Kyle Alden (Hello Again Kind Stranger 2010). Venturing to his website & reading his bio I get the impression he is one songwriter that is extremely passionate about the songwriting craft. From start to finish this CD from Alden is very pleasurable & entertaining. It has a very soothing Classic Rock, R&B quality to it, & even dabbles in hooky Acoustic Pop. Any fans of any of these musical styles will enjoy this latest release from Alden. Its clearly marketed for those who like a male singer with a mystique of say a Neil Young, Richard Thompson & even Rob Thomas. I get the impression Alden is rolling with what he knows as a performer in all these songs. In other words he hits the mark remarkably well by just being who he is. Favorite tracks include (Silence is Silver) (Hollywood Sign) (Pay No Mind). All songs possess amazing feel. The songwriting digs a bit deeper than the next Independent Artist. Within each one of these songs Alden finds his soul & delivers pure musical mojo. His band is spot on & just makes the whole CD even more enjoyable with hints on Harmonica, Saxophone, Percussion, Spanish Guitars & more. The overall vibe of the production is very upbeat & positive in nature.

In close Kyle Alden is a polished artist. Once again Im not so sure what it but Kyle Alden has whatever it may be.
