Nutone has explored the vast land of world music in order to bring you this Geosonic Grooves collection. There are artists from all over the world included here and with the advent of the Nutone label in 2001 they have added tremendously to not only world music but electronic beats with world flavors. There are Latin tinged tracks from artists such as Bebel Gilberto and Sidestepper. There are middle-eastern flavors from Smadj and the ever-loved Natacha Atlas. Nutone throws in a bunch of their own artists to show that they are up on the worldly electronica sounds: Badmarsh & Shri, Karsh Kale, and Bebel. Nutone’s Karsh Kale is an artist that deserves to be mentioned separately here with his electronic Middle-Eastern flavor. Nutone is one of those labels that don’t let race enter the picture, as long as you have quality material someone will listen. Music is an international language that people from all over the world can enjoy and dance to. Rest assured that the world will enjoy Nutone’s Geosonic Grooves.
