If " I Wanna Be Sedated" isn't an anthem to teenage excess then I give up. A brilliant concept and one which was perfectly executed with all three chords being played by the band in exactly the right order. The Ramones never got any better than this, and this is my favourite ever Ramones track for who can forget the opening lines -
" 20 20 24 hours to go
I wanna be sedated".
It stands as a testament to the joys of the thrash. This track later formed part of the soundtrack to the film Times Square on which the Ramones featured heavily.
