Coming to us from the sharp lights of high expectations is Dub Trio.  Without a doubt, a band that continues to grow and improve their sound on each and every release, Dub Trio's latest IV is upon and as far as this reviewer is concerned, it meets and exceeds all expectations.

Tracks like "Noise" have a mind-blowing tempo and funk-laden groove. Then there's "Words" which keeps a blistering pace but has a light atmosphere floating in the background. The final track "Thousand Mile Stare", which features a fine metal crossbreed and, like the rest of this release, a hint of industrial sampling. "Ends Justify The Means" is sort of a middle of the road, progressive electronic beat serving as an intermission. They saved their most heart pounding and high octane song it seems, well for the first track.  "En Passant". This track is aggressive and high-tempo'ed and could easily be enjoyed by fans of Chevelle and Tool. Sitting on the heaviest side would tracks like "Swarm" and "Words", where formations like The Book Of Knots come to mind.

Throughout this record, Dub Trio finds a terrifically blended hook or rhythm and takes it to the edge of repetitive, before changing gears. Utilizing all forms of Metal, Rock, and Dub, this Dub Trio has once again proved they are sharper than the edge of expectation.
