Alison seems to have taken a trip into her past to revisit her bluegrass roots. This bluegrass treat features some of the best bluegrass musicians in the industry such as Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, Tony Rice, Vince Gill and many more. Most of the tracks on Fair Weather are instrumentals written by Alison but some of the treats on here are the cover songs. Sam Bush sings Elvis Costello's "Every Day I Write The Book" and Tim O'Brien sings "Everybody's Talkin'". Find out why Alison Krauss' band sounded so good. Alison Brown is a banjo maestro with her amazing picking techniques and her instrumentation is wonderful too. A change from her jazz tinged releases as of late but I think fans will appreciate what she offers in the bluegrass vein.
