Two of the better songs from Rod Stewart's second career as the pin up darling of the bored housewife. Don't worry, I won't be checking out his third career as the old aged crooner of Americana. Mournful ballads both and as far as I am aware, they have been repeatedly released with several different A- or B-sides. While they might have brought him commercial success, I wonder how he felt when he listened to those old blues rockers which sustained him during his first career? Still, you have to hand it to him. He certainly knew how to milk those ballads for all they were worth.
