Apart from an early compilation album of Elton John's best (in my view) hits which I possess, I delved only sporadically into the catalogue of Elton John, and it was mostly the occasional single which caught my attention. This song has a lovely melody which is at the same time relaxing and uplifting. It is definitely one of Elton's better pieces from this period in his career when he was as much a cabaret act as a pop singer. That career has contained a number of highs and lows (the lowest perhaps parading around on stage in a bright yellow chicken suit). What I still find remarkable is that, even after so many years, it took until 1997 before Elton John had a solo number one single in the UK.
