As My Brightest Diamond, Shara Worden has worked with a who's who of the indie rock community. After three years she has found enough time to assemble her own studio album. All Things Will Unwind is My Brightest Diamond's third full length and will be released on October 18th.

Layer upon layer of arrangements make All Things Will Unwind a rich tapestry of music, with the violin being the classically-trained Worden's go-to instrument.

While the album may not have a concept per se, it certainly tells a story. The multitude of textures helps to tell a fantastic tale of wonder and magic. One almost expects a wood nymph to pop out from in front of you during the fluttering "Escape Routes" or a company of trolls to march by to "Be Brave".

When Worden takes the reins off of her vocals, it can be transcendent. It makes one wish that she felt the urge to let loose more often. That may help to humanize the album and allow more people to relate to it.

All Things Will Unwind is an album created by proficient musicians. As such it's not for light listening and won't be among the records you reach for when you're planning a party or roadtrip playlist. However, in the right mood, like re-reading The Hobbit, it will serve to enrich an experience.
