The Search For Saturnalia is a relatively new band on the indie scene. Four Letters is the bands first full length and it was recorded by Sixteen Deluxe's Steven Hall at his recording studio in Austin, TX. They have been compared to the likes of Sonic Youth, which I can see, but the band somehow manages a much more accessible sound even if they maintain a fuzzy overtone on the entire recording. Although the band isn't really forging new ground they still sound unique in a world of imitators. They have the typical double guitar, bass and drum line-up with a male vocalist (David Denosowicz) with a female (Tina Lockwood) helping out on occasion. If I had to pick a favorite track it would be "In General" with it's chunky high pitch guitar and it's time changes. The album holds your attention throughout which is alot to be said in today's saturated market.
