If you are a rockabilly fan and have never heard the Blasters, there is a small issue. You see, The Blasters were one of the forerunners in this genre and pretty much rocked harder than any other band on the circuit. The band pretty much called it quits in 1985 and each member went their own way. Well, they managed to get through their career without properly documenting their live show with a live recording. I’m sure this had nothing to do with their reunion tour (it was more likely the release of the Rhino anthology) but someone along the way decided that they should document some of the shows. Those shows happened to be at Hollywood’s House of Blues in March and June of 2002. The entire band were together on the tour and sounded like they hadn’t missed a beat. The rock out with 17 tracks and some that were never before performed by the Blasters like Johnny “Guitar Watson’s “Too Tired, Jr. Parker’s “Crying for My Baby, and Sonny Burgess’ “Sadie’s Back in Town. A couple Dave Alvin tracks were played too. Trouble Bound is a great addition to any rockabilly fans collection. This is all about great musicians playing great music and having a fantastic time together once again.
