Have you ever been in the pub and standing at the bar for ages and can't get the attention of the bar staff to get yourself served? If so, then "Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps Please" is for you. Yes it is a joke single, but it is still pretty good all things considered. "Simon Templer" is named after the eponymous mystery solving hero of the sixties, "The Saint", briefly revived around the time this single came out, while anyone who has the nerve to call a song "Michael Booth's Talking Bum" gets some kudos for gall. Yes Splodgenessabounds are probably the highlight of the punk pathetique genre of the early eighties. A kind of Oi with a sense of humour, well, listen and judge for yourself.
