Almost custom-built for inclusion in the hit FX television series SONS OF ANARCHY, Littleton Jones unleashes a laid-back, country-fied boot-stomper of an EP. Although only containing five songs, SILVERSPOON REBEL rifles through the good, the bad, and the ugly - experiences that can only be properly conveyed from really living life and being completely open and cognizant of one's surroundings.

Jones' style is one of country-inspired rock, but do not let that discourage you. "Country" is merely a launching pad from where Jones unveils his palette of musical experience. Ultimately, he's no more "country" than John Mayer or Neil Young, but he fearlessly acknowledges the style as a root of his being.

Another aspect of Jones that I am most appreciative of, that also may cause fear in some listeners, is his ability to incorporate 21st century musical accessories into his songs, whether they be synthetic percussion, white noise, or shoegazing reverb. It is simply amazing how much effort and texture the man is able to pile into a mere five-song taster.

And while the man is carving his own niche, it is borderline ironic how accessible the tunes are. Any one of them can be a single on multiple radio formats, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind if that became the case. Kinda makes one wonder why incredible talent like this is continually buried in the underground. I guess that is where folks like us come in, to tell you, the reader to give these artists a fair shake! Do it, now!
