Some tracks can stand repeated covers and others cannot. This is definitely one which can. Originally released as an A-Side backed by "(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais" , an incredible combination, it was reissued ten years later alongside some of the earlier Clash material from the first album. Full of the energy which the early Clash were all about, the track has become more mellow over the years with repeated hearing and yet has lost none of its vigour. I guess that if you are going to do a cover version of a well-known song, this is going to be the best way of going about it.
