Good for Me was a three track EP of jangle pop released by Creation records. The labels founder, Alan McGee, touted the band as being the greatest band he had ever signed to his label proof, if it was ever needed, that McGee had no idea what he was doing half the time. Blow-Up were one of a slew of bands who formed a modest sixties revival with jangly guitars. Almost all of them passed into obscurity and Blow Up were no different.
Good for Me is a damn good jangle pop number, with a memorable hook, but is nothing as special as McGee would believe. If you like this sort of music, you will like this. If not, this is not going to convert you.
