Most would agree most popular artists out there have something truly special to give to their fans. This goes above the typical attributes like raw talent, amazing songs, nice voice, or even a very marketable look, sound and image. There's something truly infectious at the core of these artists that simply makes us feel good when we listen to them. Whatever "it" is - they all seem to have "it".

Today I listened to the latest CD from Arizona based 3 piece acoustic-folk band Didgericruise (self titled - 2011). Venturing to their labels website and doing some research on the world wide web, I get the impression this is one band that is making a name for themselves regionally. From start to finish this CD from Didgericruise is a very pleasurable musical experieince. It has a very striking, highly energetic feel to it and even dabbles in Folk, Acoustic Rock with an African type flair. Any fans of any of these musical styles will enjoy this latest release from Didgericruise. It's clearly marketed for those who like a conservative, earthy, live-acoustic sound I get the impression Didgericruise is rolling with what they knows as performers and songwriters. Favorite tracks include (Kabasa), (Plane) and (Tango). All songs have an amazing feel that you cant help but groove to. Within each one of these compositions Didgericruise let's it all hang out by finding their soul and delivers top flight musical mojo. The playing/performances/writing is spot on - testament to hundreds of hours of live and rehearsal time no doubt. The overall vibe is mysterious, dark and highly chaotic but catchy. The CD is quite spontaneous as well - you never know what's waiting for you around the next corner. .

I see Didgericruise as a diamond in the rough. As time goes by he will no doubt refine and fine-tune their overall sound and musical personality by incorporating more worldly instrumentation and elements. This will add just a bit more musical flavor to the line-up. I am eager to hear what his next release will sound like. In close most famous artists out there have "it" I'm not so sure what it but Didgericruise has whatever "it" may be.
