Stacey has one of those older sibling problems. Every time anyone refers to her it's usually as "Steve Earle's little sister. Hopefully this album will bring Stacey into her own and find her own audience. It's a marvelous album full of emotion and great songwriting (must be in the genes). Earle wrote all the songs except for the opening track "Promise You Anything" which was penned by Steve. She produced the album with her husband, Mark Stuart and they did a fine job maintaining a sparse feel to it, never over doing anything or adding instruments that don't need to be there. With her and her husband playing solidly for over 8 years they are bound to find what works and improve on the already memorable sound that Stacey has. I can't really pull out an individual favorite because they all have an unsuspecting charn to them. Sheryl Crow helps out on "Kiss Her Goodnight". This album truly is a gem and worth seeking out.
