This is one of my favorite songs ever performed, it is of the highest absolute standard in terms of balladry and brilliance in production and talent. Others may have done this song well, but none as well as the Righteous Brothers.

Well the answer to the second question can only be someone who is fed up with the total radio airwaves saturation this achieved in the wake of the awful film " Top Gun" . But that aside, this is a majestic and uplifting song. And it had the ingredients of a hit. Phil Spector's production never sounded better and the orchestration and arrangement are absolutely first class. Of course the Righteous Brothers werent really brothers (and probably weren't very righteous either) but their voices which fitted together perfectly. " You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" remains, despite Hollywood's attempt to butcher it, one of the greatest ballads of all time.
