RecommendEver since Mr. Earle releases the superb El Corazon I have been a die hard fan. There was no way that this album could be topped. It was one of those albums that defines your career. Then along comes Transcendental Blues. Do I dare set down my El Corazon for this new stellar piece of roots rock? Do take back my declaration that El Corazon is the best Americana CD to ever be released? No, I'm not ready to do that yet but I am ready to put another Steve Earle album up on the shelf of my all-time favorite albums. One listen and you can see right to his soul. Listen to the title track and if that doesn't sell ya...
