RecommendIf, for some reason, you stayed away from Tim Easton’s brilliant debut Special 20 then you would benefit from at least getting on board now. Some of Easton’s fans include ex-Jayhawk Mark Olson as well as Wilco who all help out on The Truth About Us. Everyone from Wilco, save Jeff Tweedy, are found here helping out as well as numerous other fellow alt-country musicians. Tim Easton’s songwriting has improved even from the brilliant Special 20. He writes songs that make you long for home or make you glad that you have gone away. Tim’s voice is also very soothing. He has a bit of twang in his vocals but not enough to become annoying. Easton has really proved himself to be not just another alt-country singer but a full-fledged songwriter that will be heard for a long time.
