After leaving the Haynes Boys Tim Easton is out to show that he is just as relevant on his own. The contained on Special 20 are outstanding pieces of songwriting and Tim's presentation is perfect. The musicianship is so good that you hardly even need the lyrics although the add alot. There is lots of twang contained on the album but it's done in such a style that you feel you are down south listening to a guitar player playing on a porch somewhere. In the next breath he manages to pull off a rocker in the style of Wallflowers or Old '97s. Each song is so well written that a full story is contained within.
