Most would agree most popular artists out there have something truly special to give to their fans. This goes above the typical attributes like raw talent, amazing songs, nice voice, or even a very marketable look, sound and image. There's something truly infectious at the core of these artists that simply makes us feel good when we listen to them. Whatever "it" is - they all seem to have "it".

Today I listened to the latest single from New York based singer/songwriter Mike Lembo featuring vocals from Gia Bella (2012) A Global Groove release. Venturing to his website it's clearly a professional presentation showing this is his second release. From start to finish this single from Lembo delivers. It has a solid Modern-Dance quality to it and even dabbles in Hip-Hop and Power Pop. Any fans of any of these musical styles will enjoy this latest release from Lembo. It's clearly marketed for those who like a male front with a mystique of say a Justin Timberlake, Sean Paul, and Akon. I get the impression Lembo is rolling with what she knows as a performer. In other words he may not have the legendary vocal ability of say top flight artists but who cares he hits the mark remarkably well just being who he is. Within this song Gia Bella compliments Lembo perfectly. Without Bella the song would have a tough time staying afloat. The track has amazing feel to it and will have you running to the dance floor like a freaking crazed Lemming.

Lembo is clearly not the Life of the Party on the cover art. It looks like Lembo is taking a nap. Also like most Dance Pop artists we need to hear more of what this guy is capable of in order to be compared to say Justin Timberlake. What other talents does Lembo have, and what is he capable of in other songs? All that remains to be seen and heard.

I see Lembo as a real diamond in the rough. As time goes by he will no doubt refine and fine-tune his sound, surround himself with professionals, and develop and even broader fanbase here in the US. I am eager to hear and see what the future holds for Lembo. In close most famous artists out there have 'it' I'm not so sure what it but the new single by Mike Lembo definitely has whatever 'it' may be.
