RecommendOn End Time, Freakwater are out for a bit of a larger sound. As opposed to some of their earlier work which was quite sparse and very folk oriented, Freakwater take their time with End Time and work on lush country melodies. They even include a string section throughout the album! The stings are arranged beautifully and manage to avoid the usual country cliches that come with strings. Catherine and Janet share both songwriting and singing duties all through the album and never have they harmonized so beautifully. It's all in the girls lovely penned lyrics and the way they present them.
