Most of you Canadians reading this will be familiar with Bruce Cockburn but a lot of other readers may scratch their head on this one. Bruce has been writing quality singer / songwriter music for about 3-4 decades and has never really let lack of success get in his way. Cockburn puts out albums religiously ever 2-3 years and it’s very hard to find a bad record in his catalog. Anything Anytime Anywhere takes his hits (or better tracks in his catalog) from 1979-2002, which actually adds nicely to his previous compilation Waiting For A Miracle. Songs included on this compilation are his big hit “Wondering Where The Lions Are, “Tokyo, “If I Had A Rocket Launcher, “Coldest Night Of The Year, “Lover’s In A Dangerous Time, “If A Tree Falls and many more. “Last Night Of The World is also here from his sadly overlooked 1999 release, Breakfast In New Orleans, Dinner In Timbuktu. There is also 2 new tracks here for his fans, the title track and the album opener “My Beat. This is a great chance to catch up with one of Canada’s finest politically and socially conscious songwriters.
