RecommendSlumber Party is an all girl group from Detroit taking pointers from Kim and Kelly Deal's band, the Breeders as well as borrowing a few ideas from Velvet Underground. With Slumber Party though they tend to be a little more on the quiet side. Imagine a female vocalist for Jesus and Mary Chain. The band is good at provideing 60's style girl group harmonies but aren't near as happy and poppy as groups in the past. They pull off a dreamy, almost a nocturnal state of harmonies and melodies. Never obtrusive they manage to seduce you with their cool manner and the slow lumbering songs. A welcome addition to the Kill Rock Stars roster.
