The Cultivator's main man, Dan Israel has stepped out on his own and released a solo album. The title on this album is Dan Who? and it is quite appropriate as he is relatively obscure. He is one of the songwriters that is brilliant in his own right but yet to be discovered. His band, The Cultivators, put out a great album last year and in his spare time and creative excess Mr. Israel put together enough quality material in order to put out a solo album. And what a solo album it is. Dan sings and plays the guitar... That's it! No back-up or excessive instrumentation. It is a true folk album as he is singing about his life and telling stories about good times and bad times. He is happy plugging along doing his own press and funding his own albums not willing to sell out. Not yet anyway. If you are a true fan of singer / songwriter material you will love Dan Who?.
