The Soft Boys are an integral part of rock history even if they are still fairly obscure. Many bands have cited them as a main influence such as R.E.M. and the Replacements. Led by Robyn Hitchcock, the Soft Boys 2nd proper album was originally released in 1980 and remastered in 1992 on Rykodisc with an additional 8 tracks. Robyn used this as a vehicle to use his quirky smart lyrics to thier full extent. The end result was an essential pop-punk guitar album with stand out tracks like "I Wanna Destroy You" and "Positive Vibrations".
