Sugarcult is a new band on the power-pop scene. They are heavy hitters too with many stupidly catchy riffs and hooks. You might recognize frontman Marko 72 from some of the other bands that he has been associated with: Nerf Herder, Swingin' Utters, and The Atari's. Don't get all caught up in his past though. Sugarcult is completely leftfield compared to his punk roots. He has discovered power pop and figured out how to write super catchy rock anthems like "How Does It Feel" or the debut single "Stuck In America". Sugarcult also known how to please their fans and make them feel that they are part of the band. On their website you can vote for the next single. Marko still maintains his punk cred on Sugarcult; he just mixes it with radio friendly pop. This works for many bands (Blink 182) but often bands that try this get sadly overlooked (Superdrag). For a debut, though, Sugarcult have definitely hit the power pop nail on the head and cut to the chase with finesse.
