There is a magic in this band that hasn't been around in pop music for a long time. It's an infectious bliss that comes from ever single listen. You may remember the mini-hit "Sucked Out" from their Elektra debut but after almost non-existant support for their second album the band split from the label and here we find them back in the indie ranks where they will undeniably be embraced. You may have caught my little write up on catching Superdrag live on a business trip down to Phoenix. You just need to hear the first 40 seconds of the opening track ""Keep It Close To Me" to realize that Superdrag is here to stay. Don't make the mistake of just listening to this album once as Valley deserves multiple listens. Superdrag is true to themselves rocking out a Big Star style pop that goes over everyones head. Lead Singer and guitarist John Davis has never sounded better. Not quite as much polish as their major label stuff but it sounds that much more honest. Be sure not to let this one get away.
