This little four song EP was quite a treat coming from yet another “Super band. For some reason people will not lay off using the word super in their band titles. That would be my only complaint about Superjuice, this new four-piece from New York City. The band consists of the standard formula of 2 guitars, bass, and drums with catchy songwriting that is simple yet infectious. While improvements can be made, this is a very impressive way to start out. They have done everything themselves from production work (not always the best way to go) to the album art work. The sound that Superjuice have is a very guitar oriented pop sound with the odd electronic beat thrown in for good measure (see “Need It Now with it’s vocal distortion for an example). Give this band a few years for maturation and we will probably be seeing much more of them.
