Mojave 3 - Excuses For Travellers
Made up of remnants of Britains shoe-gazer band Slowdive, Mojave 3 is trucking on to their third album since '95. Where Slowdive was more on the electric side of things, Mojave 3 does the acoustic thing. They have a folk/country sound to them that is not so different than Lambchop. The band has come into it's own too as every is now contributing to the songwriting process and Neil and Rachel trade off vocal duties. The overall feeling is a beautifully meloncholic overtone. If "My Life In Art" doesn't carress you into a nice deep slumber then nothing will. A very beautiful album.
