This DVD is from the sometimes dodgy MVD company but luckily they do justice to some of the old Willie Nelson footage that has been sitting in archives for a few years. Basically on this DVD you get two programs. The first is the Great Outlaw Valentine Concert in which Willie is joined by friends (none really worthy enough to mention here) for a concert on Valentine’s day in Austin Texas. He whips through some beautiful love songs like “Always on my Mind�, “Just One Love� and “Amor�. There is also a bit of a documentary called the Nashville Superstar (which is wrongly entitled a concert on the DVD) that is introduced by Willie himself. It is really quite an eye-opener to see the changes that Mr. Nelson has gone through throughout the years. There is even some footage of him clean-shaven in a suit (“Hello Walls�). One thing I hadn’t realized was that Willie wrote the Patsy Cline hit “Crazy�, which is presented here in a funked up version that is a little speedier than Patsy’s. Willie may not be for everyone but anyone who is a big fan will truly appreciate both features on this DVD.
