Shango is Juno Reactor's first album for Metropolis and Watkins is out to gain all the Metropolis fans out there with this tribal offering. Shango kicks off with "Pistolero", the first single as well (see below), a collaboration with the old guitar go Steve Stevens who is into flamenco guitar. "Pistolero" alone provides a very diverse sound for Juno Reactor but don't worry becuase they come back to what they do best, Goa Trance. When you get to "Badimo" Watkins gets back to what he does best, the deep dark trance thing. "Badimo" is downright spooky at times. "Masters Of The Universe" picks up a bit and thrives on the tribal drums that drive the track. It also has some native vocals that weave in and out at times. Juno Reactor are out to please with Shango and they don't have a problem keeping the album alive.
