Son Volt - Wide Swing Tremolo
I'm sure if your here on this page you already know the history of Uncle Tupelo and the forming of Wilco and Son Volt. Wilco has taken on the more pop tendencies of U.T. while Jay Farrar's Son Volt moves even further into country folk. With Wide Swing Tremolo, being Son Volts 3rd album, Farrar doesn't abandon the lonesome stylings of Straightaways, but the volume does get turned up a bit. His new adventure in rock doesn't stray far away from him telling his aching stories. A great blend that doesn't bore like Straightaways tended to do.
