Let’s start with the name. Come on guys! That name sucks. Can’t say the same for the music though. Tvfordogs (Yup, they like it crammed together like that) actually play some pretty damn fine music though. “To Be The First sounds like it could be from Ireland’s Therapy. It’s that intense and probably the heaviest track on Heavy Denver. As I said, this group of UK musicians play and write decent radio ready pop tunes. They come from London but their sound is very American. There is enough of a difference for tvfordogs to stand out from the pack. There really isn’t a bad track on Heavy Denver either. It’s a solid album that could easily spawn a hit radio single. All tracks are singable in some form or another. My only other complaint besides the band name is the production could have been a tad bit better.
