This is the first album I have heard from Two Dollar Guitar and after hearing it I am wondering why I haven't heard of them before. Having been around for 5 years already and putting out 4 albums already they are making quite a buzz in the underworld. The band's Tim Foljahn lead the group into every weak beat and rhyme but don't let the title discourage you. They do it in such a meloncholic way that is soothing and sweet. The band have a knack for minimalistic pop with barely anything holding the songs together by his wavering voice. The other key member is none other than Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley. Don't let Two Dollar Guitar remain a mystery to you.
