In the fall of 2001, Hightone decided to unleash a group of country musicians so potent that no one would ever be able to resist their charm and charisma. The Twangbangers consist of Hightone artists, Bill Kirchen, Dallas Wayne, Joe Goldman, and Redd Volkaert as well as backing musicians Johnny Castle and Jack O’Dell. 26 Days on the Road is as fine a traditional country album as you can find these days. The music is fully inspired and very upbeat as well as comedic (check out “She Loves Anything That Swings for a sample of the comedy). All the Hightone artists take turns at the helm and provide a very diverse album that is sure to please fans of the individual artists as well as loads of new fans as well. A must hear is the amazing “Hot Rod Lincoln in which the Twangbangers hit on pretty much every style of music from the past 50 years. These boys are talented and this album will document this very energetic tour.
