Ultrapull is one of the many power pop bands floating around today that could easily make it big or disappear without even touching radio. There is extreme talent in Ultrapull as demonstrated on From All Directions. This is the sort of band that people in their area would go nuts for and won’t be able to figure our why they can’t break. Well, in Ultrapull’s case they just might. They have a superb ear for melody and harmony and aren’t afraid to throw ballads on their album. There is a band in Canada called Limblifter who does this as well. Actually at some points on From All Directions I feel like I am listening to Limblifter. If you like fairly heavy rock with a heavy dose of sugar then a band like Ultrapull (Sugarpull might have been a more appropriate name) is exactly what the doctor ordered. I fully enjoyed From All Directions and hope that the masses will find the charm in Ultrapull.
