The Unreel Hits is the first that I have heard of the Wooldridge Brothers and it’s quite surprising. Their soung is kind of a rockabilly / pop sound that has just enough roots injected to be considered roots-rock. Apparently The Wooldridge Brothers have released 5 albums and this is a catch all for songs that they have released that have never made it onto any of their discs. It’s strange that they haven’t got more coverage with songs on Party Of Five, Young and the Restless, and a few movies. The songs are very good quality and display impressive songwriting along with great production and arrangements. They have a great sound and it’s very original and catchy. Their song “Fascism on the Radio is one of the best Elvis Costello songs that he never wrote. This album is actually worth seeking out.
