Run Come Save Me was an accomplishment for Roots Manuva and now Rodney Smith has moved in the dub territory taking his work with him. Dub Come Save Me is a dub experience unlike others. Roots has taken some of his leftover tracks from the Run Come Save Me sessions as well as a few other rarities and has dubbed them up in such a way that they are closer to a reggae vibe then hip hop. Although all the tracks are dub inflected, they are very diverse too. Take “Revolution for instance. The team of Chali 2na & Wayne Paul is amazing hooked into the backbeat of Dub. There is also a dub remix of Super Furry Animals’ “Dreamy Days here as well that is completely unlike anything else on the album. So if you think that Rodney Smith was out of tricks, think again. This is a very inovative album that shows a whole other side of Roots Manuva.
