Quannum and Ninja Tune have just started collaborating. Solesides Greatest Bumps is the first co-release for the two labels and if it's any example of what's to come then it's all good. A bit of a history lesson for you; the label Quannum rose from the ashes of a label called SoleSides which were more or less the same artists you see on Quannum Projects. For the most part, all of these tracks were from the mid-90's and with one listen you will hear how far ahead this collective was. Recall last years amazing Blackalicious album? Heard of Latryx (featured on so many rap albums). Everyone knows DJ Shadow. They were in the Solesides collective. This album presents some of the best beats to see the light of day. Find out why Quannum Projects is one of the most influential hip hop labels going. Comes with a SoleSides Certification to exceed listener requirements. I look forward to see the partnership of Quannum and Ninja Tunes take hip hop even further than SoleSides has done in the past.
