The movie Training Day has been hyped up pretty big and from what I can tell, the movie lived up to the expectations. What about the soundtrack? Well, as expected, the soundtrack is a total hip-hop affair that also delivers the goods. There are a few duds on here but the majority of tracks are quality material. Some of the highlights of this disc are the Golden State track "Bounce, Rock, Golden State" which features Xzibit, and the C-Murder and Trick Daddy track "Watch the Police"?. The Cypress Hill track with Kokane is a great rap track too. But the best track on here is the new Gang Starr track "Tha Squeeze"?. We could have done without the P. Diddy track with David Bowie but only because we have seen enough of Sean Combs. I think that the best thing about this soundtrack is that there are only two segments of film dialogue on the whole thing. If I wanted to hear the dialogue I would go and watch the movie.
