Hit Parader states that “Brand New Sin bring fresh ideas to the hard rock world. Metal Edge was heard saying “Brand New Sin grate you over the gravel rock belligerence, deliberate in tempo and compelling in earthy rhythms. What does that mean to this rock critic? Let’s start from what Brand New Sin sounds like. I wouldn’t say that Brand New Sin bring “fresh ideas to the rock world. I would say, however, that BNS does refine what many bands have been doing for the past few years. Corrosion of Conformity (sorry, they like to be referred to as COC now), Pantera and Down have pretty much had the market share on deep south boogie metal. Now comes Brand New Sin encroaching on these afformentioned bands territory and do a fine job. Listen to the super chunky riffs of “The Oath for further proof. Brand New Sin are not all about the party music either. Their lyrics are well thought out and thought-invoking, if you care to take the time to discover them. Watch for this band to tear up the hard rock / metal charts this year. This band’s time has come.
