Glassjaw are about anything but Silence as the title of their debut album wrongly states. Famed metal producer Ross Robinson heard just a snippet of a raw demo and tracked the band down to offer them a deal. When someone of that stature looks for you you know your onto something hot. Taking the dynamics of bands such as Sevendust comes as second nature to Glassjaw. They soften the listener up with a few catchy riffs and vocals and the WHAM - they come plummeting in and smash you all to bits. Glassjaw isn't for the light hearted. Vocalist Daryl Palumbo has a very diverse voice reminiscent of Mike Patton. A kick ass debut.

This CD is such a hardcore in your face CD. All the songs go together, the lyrics flow, and the sound of Daryl Palumbo's voice, will give you chills. The CD cover is simply brilliant, goes perfectly with the illness the lead singer is ailing from. Since it is rumor to be said he isnt taking his pills or any other of his medication, the pill case is perfect. Simply put: Glassjaw is one of the best bands around.
