For the first signing of Marilyn Manson’s vanity label entitled Posthuman, he brings us not a new band but one that has been lurking in the bowels of the earth for a number of years. Godhead pretty much welcomed this opportunity with open arms due to almost non-existent sales. What Manson delivers with Godhead is a Nine Inch Nails type of Goth metal that is sure to please any fan of the genre. Marilyn Manson acts as Executive Producer while Danny Saber, whose credits include U2 and Korn, is Producer. We also get Manson guesting on ‘Break You Down� bringing his bandmate, Twiggy Ramirez along for the ride. Vocalist Jason Miller has nothing to be afraid of though because his singing is perfect for this style. One of the very interesting moments (and source for a semi-hit) is the very dark “Elenor Rigby�. Godhead’s sound is very dark and angry but don’t be deceived because they have a lot to offer the goth/metal genre. Their soft / loud mix is very welcome and done to perfection and the actual production of 2000 Years of Human Error is almost perfect. This is metal for the future.
