H-Blockx - Fly Eyes
Even though sounding a bit retro in metal world can result in a somewhat fresh sounding release. With their first North American release (they have gold albums in their native country of Germany) H-Blockx blend the metal styles of Pro-pain with the mellower edge of the quieter side of the genre. Sometimes they manage to hit the nail on the head and other times they are way out in left field. They touch on the rap-metal hype with a couple of tracks. A band that could be struggling with some identity crisis. With a little more experience and maturing H-blockx could make an impact. Leave out the closer Paradise Valley for starters next time (super bad rap-metal).
