Pantera - Reinventing The Steel
Pantera haven't sounded this good since the relentless 1992 release Vulgar Display Of Power. The only thing missing are the chugging guitars that were on "This Love". Darrell's razor sharp riffs soak the album in gasoline while Phil's voice is the spark that ignites the whole fiery mess. If you don't believe me just look at the flaming cover. This is their first album since 1996 adn some had written the band off. RIS proves that this is the band that all the other up and coming acts have to live up to or they just aren't going to cut it. Slayer fans will be happy to hear Kerry King's guitar on the blistering "Goddamn Electric". It's so good to see a band sticking to what they do best and not bending over to take up the ass. Pantera is the shit!!
